A global cruise line

We build and run software at the heart of its operations: its main cruise-planning system, back-office applications and iOS apps, on Angular, .NET, MySQL and Swift. A dedicated team builds on the Microsoft Power Platform, another runs critical back-office operations, and a 25-person, 24x7 follow-the-sun helpdesk supports its users around the world. For its expedition voyages we built the app that balances a passenger submarine before each dive, using the height and weight of every guest who boards.

A US multinational in climate and industrial technology

Since June 2013, our engineers have worked inside its own development teams, through the company's split and later mergers. It's one of several companies, including a US telecom operator in the US and at its Bangalore centre, where our engineers have worked inside the client's own teams over the last 15 to 20 years. The industry now calls this forward-deployed engineering; we were doing it before it had a name.

Founders and enterprise innovators came to us with an idea on paper. We built the software, brought it to market, and scaled it to millions of users.

2005 · First client 2M+ patients

A US homecare software company

We built the platform from concept for a US homecare franchise network, including a mobile point-of-care system with its own sync and app store before iOS and Android reached the market. When the client spun the product out as a company of its own, we incubated its engineering team and ran the system for more than eleven years, through three acquisitions. It grew to 100,000+ caregivers, 2M+ patients and 1,000+ office locations, processing over $3B in claims a month. When its final owner, a private equity firm, brought in its global IT services partner, we transferred the team to them. Incubate, build, operate, transfer.

A US software company and a UK AI accounting startup

For each, we designed and built the entire product from scratch, grew the engineering team, and transferred it to the client's own setup in India when the time came.

2012 · Solo founder $190M+ raised

A Silicon Valley fintech

A three-person team built the first platform with a solo founder, from concept through launch and beyond, over two and a half years on .NET, SQL Server, iOS and Android. Its users now work at 50,000+ companies across all 50 US states, and it has raised $190M+. It was also our first risk-sharing engagement: lower rates early, with a payoff at funding milestones.

2019 · Family finance 5M active users

A US telecom operator

An 11-person team led product and engineering for a prepaid family debit card, inside a 30-person team spread across the US, India, Colombia and Europe. It reached 5 million active users and 20 million completed chores, and in one quarter conversion rose 34% and engagement 85%. The operator later wound the programme down.

2011 · Justice tech Acquired

An online dispute resolution startup

A five-person team built the platform and its justice-tech applications over three years, used by courts and tribunals in several countries, including a neighbour-dispute service in the Netherlands. The company was later acquired.
